5-Hour Pre-Licensing Class

The five-hour pre-licensing class is required by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles for all applicants who would like to schedule a road test. The class will be taught by an instructor from a local driving school and is open to both district and non-district residents ages 16 and up. You must bring your picture NY State Learner’s Permit to class (temporary paper permits will not be accepted).  Please also bring your lunch with you.  You will not have time to leave for lunch.  The cost for this class is $40 which is payable to the instructor on the day of class.  Payment must be made in cash with exact change.   Phone and in-person registration only, no online registration.
