Do you like to read and answer trivia questions? Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition of Young Adults who are entering grades 6 through 9. Teams answer trivia questions based on eight different books (everybody reads all 8!) and score points for their team with each correct answer. Longwood was the County Champ back in 2006 – come and help us regain our title!

Join the Teen Services Librarians on the following dates from 6:30-8:30 pm to prepare for the competition:

In-person only registration* at the True North Teen Services Desk begins May 11 at 9:30 A.M.

*Battle of the Books is open to those teens who are entering grades 6-9 only.

Borrowing Guidelines

Valid Adult Longwood Public Library Card in good standing.
A maximum of three items from this collection may be borrowed at a time.
Equipment and Gadgets are available at the Adult Reference Desk and must be returned to the Circulation Desk. Equipment and Gadgets may not be returned to the book drop.
If any item is lost or damaged, the full value of the item will be charged to the patron account.
The library has a limited number of items in the collection; if the item comes back late or is lost, the library may not be able to honor reservations.
The use of some items may require precertification or training; if there are any precertification requirements, there will be a link in the item description to the required training.
