Bookstormers: After-School Book Club for 7th & 8th Graders

Come 'read up a storm!' with our newest book discussion! Join librarians from both the LPL and LJH as we discuss:

The Crossover by Kwame Alexander

Twins Jordan and Josh Bell are stars on the junior high basketball court, and inseparable off the court – until Jordan starts dating the new girl at school. Now, for the first time, the brothers are drifting apart, just as Josh discovers a devastating secret about their father and his own basketball career. Jordan and Josh slam-dunk their way through this novel in verse as they explore family, hip-hop, growing up, and brotherhood. Attendees who read the book and participate in the group book review at the program will receive 3 hours of community service.

The snacks provided may not be suitable for those with food allergies.

Registration begins February 13 at 9:30 A.M.

This program will take place in the library at the Longwood Junior High School. A late bus will be provided at 4pm, but you must be registered to attend.
