Program Description

Event Description

There is a critical shortage of blood in our area. The entire donation process takes less than an hour and a single donation can be used to save multiple lives. Donors with O-negative blood type, are especially encouraged to donate, as their blood can be used in emergencies. Nearly 2,000 donations are needed each day in New York and New Jersey alone. You may donate if you are at least 17 years old (16 years old with written consent from parent or legal guardian), weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in good health. Appointments are suggested but walk-ins are welcome. If you have further questions or you would like to schedule an appointment please call the New York Blood Center at 1-800-933-BLOOD.
