Event Description

Come along on a virtual visit to Reykjavík, capital city of Iceland.Find out why it’s called the Land of Fire and Ice! A visit to the capital and southwest regions of Iceland is similar to visiting multiple national parks: there are majestic falls, geothermal pools, black sand beaches, spectacular volcanoes, shooting geysers and several UNESCO World Heritage sites. There are also impressive ecological features including the fissure where the European and North American tectonic plates meet. Game of Thrones and Star Wars fans may see some familiar scenes the area is popular for movie and TV producers to use as a backdrop. Enjoy a visit to this unique land with Savvy Sightseer, Jeanne Schnupp.

Valid Adult Longwood Public Library Card in good standing.
A maximum of three items from this collection may be borrowed at a time.
Equipment and Gadgets are available at the Adult Reference Desk and must be returned to the Circulation Desk. Equipment and Gadgets may not be returned to the book drop.
If any item is lost or damaged, the full value of the item will be charged to the patron account.
