DESCRIPTION:Help us reach our goal of 40 donors! There is a critical short
 age of blood in our area and nearly 2,000 donations are needed each day in
  New York and New Jersey alone. The entire donation process takes less tha
 n an hour and a single donation can be used to save multiple lives.You may
  donate if you are at least 17 years old (16 years old with written consen
 t from parent or legal guardian), weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in go
 od health. Donors with O-negative blood type are especially encouraged to 
 donate, as their blood can be used in emergencies.Appointments are suggest
 ed but walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, please call the New
