Summer/Winter Reading Clubs

Summer reading is fun for children & teens! Kids do better in school when they read over the summer—even if it’s for just 10 minutes each day. The best way to prevent “summer slide” is to continue to read regularly during the summer.

The library offers summer reading clubs for LPL cardholders of all ages: children, teens and adults.

• Children from birth to sixth grade can register online or in person for a club specially designed for their age group.
• Teens in grades seven to twelve can register in person for their club.
• Adults can also participate with a club that incorporates weekly raffle drawings. Register online, by telephone or in person at the Adult Reference Desk.

The library also offers a winter reading club for children. New for this year is a winter reading club for adults, too! For more information, please stop by the Children’s Reference Desk or the Adult Reference Desk.
