makerLAB

A place for members of the Longwood community to invent, build, collaborate, and share skills.

The makerLAB, Longwood Public Library's makerspace, is equipped with four 3D printers, two sewing and quilting machines, an embroidery machine, button makers, an inkjet printer, sublimation printer, green screen, Cricut Mug Presses, Cricut Makers, and a Cricut Auto Press. There are MacBooks in the room for you to use to design your projects. You may make an appointment below to use the equipment in the room and bring your own materials to work with or purchase a makerLAB Kit with all the materials you need to complete a project.

Space is limited; appointments are highly recommended and can be made up to 14 days in advance. Longwood Library cardholders can either reserve a specific piece of equipment and bring their own materials or purchase a makerLAB Kit at the makerLAB. Open makerLAB is a D.I.Y. self-guided experience. A staff member is here to assist with questions but for more in-depth training, patrons can take one of our makerLAB classes.
