In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, learn of the iconic motion picture stars who paved the way for so many other Latina actresses throughout the years. Beautiful and talented Dolores Del Rio was the first Latina to cross over into mainstream Old Hollywood and opened the door for Lupe Velez, Katy Jurado, and Carmen Miranda. Sal St. George will discuss how they defied racial barriers and persevered, creating a bridge for today’s Latina women to follow.
