Program Description

Event Description

Each year, on the third Monday in January, we remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and his philosophy of nonviolence in the struggle to end racial discrimination in America. He was a leading figure in the Civil Rights Movement during the 1950s and 1960s, an advocate for poor and oppressed people, and a man of deep conviction, courage, and love. Join us for a screening of the 90-minute documentary, “Martin Luther King, Jr.: An Amazing Grace” which was produced by Emmy award-winning TV host, Gil Noble. A discussion will follow with Adult Department Librarian Alison Q.
