Explore the Outdoors at Yaphank Lake (Families with children)

Come join Nicole from the Town of Brookhaven Environmental Education Department and our "Nature Lady" Barbara Lindemann for a hands-on, might-get-your-feet- wet, close-up look at the Yaphank Lake.  Bring your own bucket and we'll provide the nets!  Water shoes, sunscreen, hats and towels are recommended.  

We will meet at the Upper Yaphank Lake on Mill Road by the Swezey Avey House.

Please remember to bring sunscreen and water and be reminded that there are only porta potties at this location.  Also be aware that children tend to get wet exploring the lake, so dress appropriately and be prepared for them to get wet.
