Friends Election Candidates

Kris Minischke (Running unopposed for Treasurer)
I was a librarian until I retired 8 years ago. I worked, most recently, for the Suffolk Cooperative Library System. During my time there I served as treasurer of the union. My main job there for the last 8-10 years I was there was purchasing all the downloadable ebooks and audiobooks for the county.

I have always loved libraries and reading and am happy to have raised readers as my children and grandchildren.

I look forward to supporting the Longwood Library and specifically the Friends in this capacity.

Rosemarie Ferguson (Running unopposed for Recording Secretary)
I was appointed to fill the term of Chris Saas when she stepped down in 2024. I am retired from purchasing in the aerospace industry and participate in many volunteer activities in the community and my church. My hobbies include knitting and embroidery as well as being an avid reader.

I have belonged to the Longwood Library for over 20 years and have participated in the many programs and activities, many supported by the Friend of the Library. I believe the Library serves as important part of the community for all ages. am happy to continue as Recording Secretary.

Any member in good standing may run against a proposed candidate on the slate by presenting a petition signed by fifteen members in good standing and delivered to the Board 14 days prior to the December board meeting.

Paul Infranco (Running unopposed for Vice President)
As a longtime community member I am thrilled to be a part of the Friends of the Library team. I am a retired Longwood history teacher and a past member of the Longwood Board of Education.I have also been involved in publishing historical Longwood community books.
