Program Description

Event Description

This presentation is designed to let you experience the holiday season even if you can’t be there in person.  You will view the famed Christmas store windows and the beautiful holiday markets that dot the city. Find out about the history of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and the secrets of the famed Rockettes. We will discuss how Chanukah and Kwanzaa are celebrated in the city and finally, we will travel to the outer boroughs to see some of the most beautiful holiday lights displays in the country, including Dyker Heights. All of this will be presented with anecdotes, holiday music and video clips of some of the most memorable holiday movies.

This program will be presented as a Zoom meeting.  You can attend this program online or via telephone. The URL and phone number for the "meeting" will be emailed to all registrants upon completion of registration and also one hour prior to start time.

Not sure how to use Zoom? Take a tutorial with our Tech Librarian Alison.
