Program Description

Event Description

It’s not like the movies. From clandestine operations to covert actions approved by presidents, the CIA has been shrouded in mystery since its inception. It plays a critical role in shaping American foreign policy. Its successes and failures have often had consequences for national security. Buckle up and get ready for an exciting journey through the secret world of the CIA with Les Paldy, Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus at Stony Brook University who served as a member of the U.S. delegation in nuclear weapons negotiations with the Soviet Union and as a CIA officer supporting efforts to block the spread of weapons of mass destruction.

*Adult SRC: This is a Summer Reading Club eligible program. Attending this program will earn you one raffle ticket for the prize drawings. See an Adult Services staff member for more information.
