Despite its lack of organization and relatively short life span, the Italian neorealist movement deeply influenced directors and film traditions around the world. With clips from Italian Neorealist films such as “The Bicycle Thief” and “Open City”, we will discuss how cinema viewed and redefined the Italian national identity.
