Program Description

Event Description

Join our monthly club of passionate teens making a difference for the planet! Through hands-on projects, workshops, and speakers, the Teen Sustainability Club will explore environmental issues, take action in the community, and create innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Let's work together for a greener tomorrow! Participants will earn one hour of community service credit at each meeting.

For this session of the TSC, we'll be joined by the Center for Environmental Education and Discovery to talk all about bats! Bats are really important members of our ecosystem, yet their diversity and population numbers are declining at an alarming rate.  New York has 9 species of bats and recent studies have identified about half of these species on Long Island.  Come learn about the fascinating lives of our bats and their unique adaptations as the only flying mammals.
