Program Description

Event Description

Join our monthly club of passionate teens making a difference for the planet! Through hands-on projects, workshops, and speakers, the Teen Sustainability Club will explore environmental issues, take action in the community, and create innovative solutions for a sustainable future.  Participants will earn one hour of community service credit at each meeting.

Melissa Parrott, the Executive Director of Renewable Energy Long Island and Students for Climate Action, joins our club to discuss the importance of advocating for clean energy - even at the student level! We'll learn how to start a postcard writing campaign to our local elected officials supporting renewable energy and discuss how important small steps from teens can be to implement positive change.
