The Mind's Ear- An Author's Journey into Classical Music with Lauren Rico

  Music is a universal language, transcending time, culture, history and geography to speak to the soul in a way that no other language can. Unfortunately, it’s not a language that is easily translated—making it very difficult to effectively describe in words. In this presentation, author and classical music broadcaster Lauren Rico discusses her use of music throughout her books Solo, Reverie, Rhapsody and Requiem. Using musical examples and excerpted readings, she explains how she bridges the gap between the written word and the played note by tapping into the “mind's ear.”
