
Welcome to True North, the Teen Department at the library! True North is intended for use by teens in grades 7-12 and it offers them a safe, supportive, and positive space that is designed for them. Everyone is welcome to browse the collection or look for a book, but seating in the True North is limited to teens only. For more information, please see our Designated Spaces policy.

Battle of the Books
Advanced Battle of the Books
Advanced Division Battle of the Books is for Longwood Public Library cardholders in grades 9-12. We focus on three books, with practices beginning in September and the final competition taking place in the fall.
Summer Battle of the Books
Read books and compete in a trivia contest about these titles with teens from other libraries in the county. This competition is for teens with Longwood Public Library cards entering grades 7-9.
Winter Battle of the Books
Winter Battle of the Books is only for Longwood Public Library teens. Teens in grades 5 and 6 read three books and compete against each other in a trivia contest that takes place at the Longwood Middle School.
